The 39 Steps Boise Theatre reviews
What an unbelievable musician!!
Last night at the Hard Rock, The 39 Steps was just fantastic. He played piano, acoustic guitar, harmonica, and sax during the show. He's such a talent considering his songwriting, vocals, and many instruments he plays. He performed a wonderful mix of songs from across his career and did some deeper cuts which I always love. We flew out to California last May to see him for the first time and saw his Astral Weeks show. My least favorite songs at concerts are almost always the hits although I understand they have to be done for the casual fans. He played for about an hour and 1/2. He's still soulful as ever, and his voice still sounds great after all these years. What a rare treat to see such a musician and his awesome band. It was a little strange that he had the bars closed in the venue as he came on stage at 8PM but we just got a couple of drinks to bring in and it worked out fine. He doesn't come this way enough at all. This show was different and wonderful as well. I know and own all his music, and love most of it so I wasn't going to be disappointed. You don't want to drink too much for his show anyway and miss even a minute of it.
